Despite a large party in attendance, the service was attentive and informative. We will definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning in the future.
This Belgian restaurant is located just outside Rawdon, Quebec, in the foothills of the Laurentians. The owners take care of everything here. The menu is focused on shellfish and seafood, with a variety of options for meat eaters as well. The escargots were excellent, the mussels and their various preparations were sublime, and the Belgian fries were magnificent. There is a small dessert menu, all made in-house. The restaurant is part of an inn, and from what I've heard, the accommodations are quite nice. Reservations are essential in the summer, and they have seasonal opening hours. This area of Quebec is stunning, with plenty to do nearby in Joliette and Montcalm. Montreal is just an hour away. The service may not be quick, but take your time and enjoy the atmosphere. It was my mother's birthday and they even made a cake for her. The restaurant is cozy and tends to fill up quickly, so it's best to call ahead to avoid disappointment, as it's popular with locals.
