O'steen's - Saint Augustine

We were told that this was the top spot in Saint Augustine for fried shrimp. Whoever said that was correct! I have never had a better meal. Isabelle took excellent care of us. She is a skilled server despite being new. Hats off to the chef for nailing the fresh flavor of the shrimp, they really can't go wrong here. The hushpuppies were cooked perfectly and the sauces were also delightful. We will definitely be returning!

I waited thirty minutes to be seated at the restaurant, but it was worth it! My family enjoyed fried hush puppies, shrimp, grilled fish, and hamburger steak. The food was delicious, and our server provided excellent service.

Some of the best fried shrimp you'll find anywhere, served with a welcoming smile in a cozy, down-to-earth atmosphere that has been around for over 50 years. The service is always quick and efficient, but be prepared to wait during busy times - sometimes up to an hour or two. It's a good thing if you forgot your wallet because it gives you time to figure something out, as you can't dine here without it. They also offer other appetizers besides shrimp, but I can't speak to their quality because the shrimp is so delicious that I've never strayed from ordering them.

I ordered her signature, it was not disappointed. I loved all the choices of delicious sides. I had been prawning and greens. the beets were really good, the scratched greens were a little spicier than I like. they offer three types of brot. biscuits, cornbread and hush puppies. my favorite of all three was the cornbrot, a great resistance and only a hauch of sweet.
