My dinner was very good from the seafood gumbo to the pulled pork sliders. Maybe we hit it on a good night but I give it a solid 4.0. We will be back. Thx!
We came here right before a show at zanies I didn't read the reviews until we sat down but then thought oh no. We were running late didn't have time to go elsewhere. However we were pleasantly surprised. It wasn't crowded so we were sat right away, the waitress was very pleasant efficient. I give it 3 stars for food price. I had the jumbalya which was ok but bland, she had the chicken wrap which also was ok but nothing special. The prices are definitely on the high side for the venue. But it works when ur in a hurry to get to a show.
Went there mid-week mostly to check out Zanies. Zanies is open only Thursday on. Had the very good shepards pie served hot and well portioned with standard ingredients and a hint of guinness. Wife had a caesar salad with a very good chicken breast added. Neither dish was too large but priced right for the portion. The atmosphere is dated but if you can have a modest portion of good food and a nice beer selection at a nice price go here.
We bought a room at the resort with dinner here. Never open the entire time we were in town. Extremely disappointing... Absolutely no accommodations. Will never come back!!! Update... Finally open the last night in town. The food was great. The wait staff treated us extremely well. The bartender made the best hurricane ive ever had... upgraded from 1 star to 4 stars.
One note: SPICY as hell! Heartburn/can't finish; no homemade salad dressing which to me is just lazy; small menu; they make plates look nice but they need to work on more than just cutting up a fresh Serrano or Jalepeno and just throwing it in to some mayo. Wait staff very nice but not knowledgeable about menu at all because even they don't eat the food..because it's not good; I love food and I would never come here again. I love pheasant run so when I stay I'm definitely going out for food. Which I feel like they're just losing money on this menu and they need a chef to come in and change it to make it accessible to majority..I mean I eat fresh jalapeños and Thai food but this is just something you eat on a dare to prove you can handle spice. It's not enjoyable.
