Used to be one of the most affordable places to eat in town. The quality of food sadly has gone down and prices continue to go up. The corn is good, but no dang way corn needs to be $5 a cob. That?s literally robbery at this point.
Stopped at 1 of the St. Cloud locations on a Friday night. Prices food) are good so they get busy AF. After a good 30-40 minutes of waiting several customers that ordered after me getting their food before me) I inquired about my lone $8 breakfast burrito, lo behold... it materialized a minute or so later. I guess if a Gilberto's location is super busy then their meat doesn't taste all dried out like it does the much slower Blaine location the 1 time I went
I got the bean and cheese burrito with added shredded chicken and it might have been the best bean and cheese burrito I've ever had. It was so delicious. It was stuffed so full that I had filling all over my hands but I didn't care because it tasted so great. This was my first time going here and I can't wait to go back. I might not eat at any other restaurant for awhile because of how great my food was. I highly recommend Gilberto's.
Ordered chips and a 16oz container of red salsa. What we got was definitely not red salsa. It looked and smelled like broth, possibly broth that goes with Birria Taco. Drove there and back specifically for chips and salsa just to not be able to eat it. It was busy so I understand if it could have been a mistake.
