Feedback gevenI have been using Aux Montagnards for 14 years, and it has always been good. Last year new management moved in. It is a family run restaurant, with all the best of what that entitles. Good food , attentive service and reasonable prices. Highlights, one of the best omelets I have ever eaten, sit outside in the summer. High on the Monts D'Or, with a great view of Lyon. Book, it's very popular with the smart local crowd. Well worth the drive.
Never has it been more worth it to take a car and drive all the way up to this little town where you will find this restaurant like a hidden jewel. The outdoor tables are comfortable and the ambiance is relaxed. There is space for kids to play, and while you eat you will slowly see the sun set and the lights of Lyon start to alight one by one. The menu is simple and has something for all tastes. Share a platter with saussages and a draft belgium beer (delicious! . Continue with the angus beef or porc chop or the fantastic grilled chicken. If you feel like having a salad be aware of the size of these the pasta salad alone is enough for 3 people, no kidding. And you must leave space for dessert, the panna cotta is a dream, the chocolate mousse makes you want to lick the bowl and you will need to round it all up with some Calvados to make it back to your car. It is a little pricey but worth every cent.
The terrace with the view of the fields, it changes in the evening a single menu at 27€ with cartethe kitchen is fine and tasteful I took a gratin of ravioli with a brick salmon and an apple and pineapple chaplain. From the beginning to the end I enjoyed myself. A great bravo to the KITCHEN!it is worth a visit
Several experiences in this restaurant: the ravioli gratin is a little too fat to my taste (you have to love the cream mixed with the foie gras), but the fondues are delicious! other dishes to test without moderation: the mixed pierrades (the duck meat is a pure delight) ♦ alone flat tables really too small, we were only two and had to invest the edges of the chimney to make it your first!
An excellent evening under the chapiteau, a service to small onions and relaxed.Small dishes made home, simple but good. The nice styph. And the apéro vin blanc/châtaigne with tapnade house, which the people ask!To do, with friends, in love, with family! The check is soft.
