Chef of admirable kindness and responsiveness, who relit his stove for us who arrived at the last minute! Smiling and friendly serving regional products of very good quality! If you pass through this charming village, this is an address to go to with your eyes closed!

Au fil de la Benaize is a small restaurant in St Hilaire sur benaize in the montmourillion Poitiers area of rural france where the propriter is also the cook,waiter winewaiter thelot.It is quiet superb small tiny intimate,Basicrustic tables and chairs with the door opening on to the streeet.The menu is quiet small but absolutley superb done freshly while you wait by the charning owner .....the night i was there we had steak,never ever have we had better,fresh locally produced.....And heres the big plus while we were dineing the local farmer arrived for a drink and now where can you find this....he is the farmer that bred produced and slaughtered our steak....in this homozinised world where can you find this......well done monsieurIf in the area please go.....superb food nice people all in all near to perfection
