Sylvia And Lounge

I so enjoyed my stay at the Sylvia. I was there mid week. I like the vintage feel of the hotel. Also, location played a part in my stay right across from English Bay. My room was on the smallish side but ok for one but maybe not for two. Updatedbathroom. I was lucky to enjoy a quiet visit...no loud neighbors. Small fridge.The housekeeping lady was so friendly...kudosto her. Check in was efficient and friendly. I would stay here again. There's a Safeway close by. I discovered the RedUmbrella cafe up the street on Davie. Good breakfast.

I love the fish and chips, crab cakes, and the chicken wings. Savory and delicious. They gave generous servings to us and our orders were given quickly. We didn't have to wait that long for them to arrive. We felt really comfortable at this place andalso felt valued as customers. We had a nice and helpful server and he also gave us great food recommendations. Will be backagain soon.

I love the fish and chips and the eggs Benedict here. They are tasty and savory. Cooked to perfection and very delicious. They have generous serving too that will definitely ensure a customer's satisfaction with the foods. Love how they are very attentiveto us. Did not let any customers waiting or hanging. They have nice and friendly staff too. Would definitely be back again heresometime.

Place is great, it has a nice atmosphere and felt very comfortable dining here. I like the lighting and the indoor set up of seating. Staff are welcoming to us and we were seated almost as soon as we arrived. Our server help us with deciding what toorder by giving some recommendations since it is our first time here. We enjoyed the foods we had and it felt very fulfilling.Kudos!

Absolutely loved my stay at Sylvia's. You can't beat the location or charm. I was travelling with family and booked the Classic 3 Bed unit and it was beautiful just like the photos. I had requested a higher floor and that was accommodated, giving usmostly unobstructed views and a sneak peek of the English Bay. The room was comfortable although we couldn't figure out theheating/cooling system. The general feel of the entire hotel is classic and filled with character which is beautiful but I dowish there were slight updates in their amenities like their coffee maker. I also wish there was more seating in the living areafor a room that is meant to accommodate up to 5 people. Nevertheless, I would definitely stay here again. Bonus: The frontdesk staff are especially welcoming and kind too.
