A really nice relaxed restaurant with excellent food and even better service. A fantastic selection of Moules cooked to order the best I ever had in France and I eat a lot of Moules on holiday! We had a family dinner here three times during our...holiday in St Jean de Monts and everyone enjoyed it every time. It has a great atmosphere right on the beach and a good selection of wine and beer to add their menu. I am happy to come back many times in the future.

Fortunately, I had not read the previous reviews when I visited La Fregate with my wife and daughter whilst on holiday in St Jean. We enjoyed our first experience that we returned twice more during our fortnight. My daughter had the moules twice. They are...served in three sizes: from normal to formidable and were delicious. I had a chicken forestiere with rice first time, which was rather a small portion for the price on my subsequent visit I decided to try their fish and chips (yes, that is how they describe it in the menu) and was surprised how tasty it was: a battered cod portion with a generous plate of frites. I have encountered worse in Yorkshire!! Staff were very friendly and attentive even on the night when they were rushed off their feet.

Des serveuses sympathiques et souriantes, ainsi qu'une nourriture de grande qualité. Nous avons passé un très bon moment avec vue sur la mer. Merci.
