This restaurant offers a variety of breakfast and brunch options. The service is quick and friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. Overall, a great place to dine.
I went with my husband on Canada Day a holiday and most people weren 't working. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table which seemed a bit long as it was in the hot sun but in the end we are sure glad we waited. I choose one of the 'casserole ' breakfast pans which had roasted potatoes, cheese, fried onions, smoked salmon, hollandaise sauce and topped with a fried egg. It also came with toast and I selected the multigrain which was fabulous. The included coffee was much better than most restaurants. My breakfast was very good. My husband had a more typical plate, two eggs over easy, bacon, sausage, potatoes served with fruit on the plate. Again, he said it was excellent. Little touches like an interesting mustard for the sausage give this place character. On top of the very good food we found the service to be exceptionally good. The waitress switched to English when she heard us speaking in English to each other, and apologized that the menu was only in French and offered to help if we needed it. We didn 't as we both speak French, still, we appreciated the gesture. Our food arrived promptly after ordering and we were checked on regularly to make sure we had enough coffee, water, cream, jam, and that the food was to our liking. Prices were comparable to what we usually pay for breakfast so felt this to be a good value as food was much better than many places we 've been to in the area. We will certainly go back, even if we have to wait for a table.
Very large portions for breakfast/brunch and seems to be popular for the young military people from the local base. We were there early enough to avoid the lines but were told mid morning brunch can be a wait to get it. Well worth the wait. Everyone found that the portions were large and most struggled to finish or left some on their plates. Not due to being bad food but just too much to start the day. Service was very friendly and efficient and the lady helped some of us with their selections or explaining the different dishes. you can experiment of have hearty quebecois/Canadian style breakfast and not go wrong
Located in a historic building with exposed brick walls and stunning floors, this restaurant does not disappoint. The breakfast options are carefully prepared and served in generous portions at a very reasonable price. For lunch, they offer a Table d’hôte with creative and inspired dishes. Fresh ingredients are key here, as shown in the picture of the delicious fruit salad dessert offered after the main course. You will not be disappointed with a meal at this restaurant.
