Bob's Corner Take-Out - Saint John

Nice joint, but tried fish and chip, but was a bit greasy than not fried at high enough speed. Chips too. Fish was price good and ok, but not great size. The Griesiness and not great Crunch will give me a fair assessment Also daughter...has fresh double burgers who looked good and tasted ok, but she went back home and within a few hours had the runs. It had to be like nothing strange had eaten that day. I'm sorry Bob didn't have much support, but you had great prices.

It is a local diver in what looks like a house with picnic tables outside and inside with clean plastic clothing with edge clips, I assume that they turn off the day. Most dishes are deep roasted. I had the mussels and pommes. It was okay, kind of tasteless shells. Sometimes it's good. Fries were good, freshly cooked. I'll come back to try the fish and chips and scallops. I notice most males may have dentures, no wifi, do not go there for decor, the family may complain, lol.

I'm really upset when I see people slamming Bob's takeout. If you are looking for fine food Bob's is not the place for you. But if you want cheap delicious food, then you are in the right place. Bob's is a hole in the...wall restaurant that has really cheap food that has substance. It reminds me to eat at the fair. Homemade frits, burgers, gravy and real potatoes, the burgers are real meat and great with fried onions. If you are a big eater, I would suggest ordering the burger with an extra patty. I love her steak and chips, but my favorite is two hamburgerpatties with onions, gravy and potatoes. Yummy thanks to Bob always consistently delivers real classic dinner food.

I grew up in Grandbay Westfield as a child using my mom and dad to treat us kids with Bobs for FishNChips and one side fried mussels. I am currently living in Ontario and making it a point to stop in a...weird time lol when I visit home. So amazing, it's like back in time! I love the atmosphere and the food! Go on! Such an amazing place, a proud family restaurant, must try to visit Saint John! Cheers Warren Coston and Fam!

I enjoyed the consistancy for years but now things have really changed sense Bob is out of the picture. The grandson seems to be running the show and abusing customers, by charging for ketchup with an order!
