House Of Chan - Saint John

I was not satisfied with the food at this restaurant. The dishes were soggy and the portion sizes did not justify the high prices. I paid an additional $4 plus tax for an upgrade to chicken fried rice, but one order didn't include any chicken at all, while the other had only three tiny pieces, hardly bigger than peas. When I called to address the issue, the response I received was dismissive and arrogant. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money here.

The food was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly attentive—truly, I couldn't ask for more. If any restaurant deserves to thrive in this charming little city, it's these guys. The yellow curried chicken had a comforting, homemade taste that surpassed what I've experienced in almost any other Thai restaurant.

The decor makes a great first impression! While the prices are relatively high compared to other House of Chan locations and typical fast food restaurants, I believe they justify it by offering a sit-down dining experience with such beautiful decorations and more refined dishes. Personally, I had a very satisfying and positive first experience there. I ordered the Sichuan Chicken along with a cup of Wulong Tea, which came to about $20, including tips and taxes, and the servers even brought the food directly to my table. In terms of American-style Chinese food, they did an excellent job with both the presentation and flavor.

I went for dinner this evening, and the food was outstanding! I highly recommend you check it out!

I stopped by for takeout dinner tonight and was very impressed! Although the portions weren't as excessive as some places that pack their food into styrofoam containers, it was more than enough to satisfy my appetite. The wait was short, and the food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be returning!
