York Bistro + Pub - Saint John

This restaurant is a fantastic place to have a drink and have a conversation with locals. Pete, the bartender, is friendly and knowledgeable on a variety of topics. You will feel right at home and not want to leave.

You can enjoy breakfast at the Hilton Hotel in St. John at this restaurant. They offer a variety of dishes from yogurt parfait to a full American breakfast with eggs and bacon. I had breakfast here almost every day and the staff was amazing, always greeting me with a smile and remembering how I liked my breakfast. Jeannette and Wey were particularly good to me, so thank you! Our favorite thing at this restaurant was their Zeasars and Martinis, they are a must-try! While the prices for food can be a bit expensive, the flavors make it worth it. For example, their regular burgers start at $20. The terrace is a lovely place to dine during the summer.

Four family members of Halifax have decided to have a family come together in Saint John. After visiting Cemetary we went to the York Bistro and Pub, which is part of the Hilton and overlooks the beautiful Saint John Harbour. The pleasant and informed waitress took our orders from veggie frittata;eggs,sausage,toast,potatoes;cheddar, onions, green paprika omelet;chicken sandwich,soup;fried haddock and mashed potatoes and coffe. My wife had her usual hot water and lemon. the toilet was clean and underground parking is available via the hotel. At night we have a family coming together of 13 in specially furnished dining room on the lower floor of the hotel? Everyone chose his own food from our selected large menu, the food was delicious and the service perfect.

The location is beautiful. The food we served was not great. Two of us got the “Fork and Spoon Salad” with chicken. It was tiny, the chicken was tasteless and not even served on the salad. We really wanted lobster rolls, but the price was more expensive than any one of us had ever seen. Other meals that our other friends got were best moderate. It took a very long time for food to arrive and we had to hunt our server down for our bills. We arrived at 6:00 and went out at 8:55. Not according to our own choice.

Beautiful location right in the water, excellent food, good prices! I would definitely return if in Saint John.
