When you step up to the counter, you can ask for a menu, check out the hot food options, the cold food offerings, and the Specials Board. After making your selections, you simply go back to pick up your order. Their menu features a large fried chicken dinner available in boxes or by the piece, excellent homemade macaroni salad, potato salad, pasta salad, tasty cold sandwiches on amazing Swiss bread, and delicious hot sides including vegetables, mac and cheese, and homemade potato dishes, all served alongside their signature potato chips. For bigger orders, you can visit their website, decide what you want, and call ahead. Keep in mind that hours may vary depending on the season. The service is friendly and efficient. Overall, I’m truly impressed!

Every time I visit, I feel like I'm just a common thief. Today, the server was almost standing on my toes while I was trying to decide which candy bar I wanted for tonight. She made things so chaotic that I ended up planning less than I intended.

Broasted chicken and sides were really good. Especially the deviled eggs.

When we bought our house in 2018, the sellers told us that the convenience store across the street has the BEST fried chicken in town. We thought they may be joking, but it's absolutely true!! Their refrigerated section is perfect to grab before heading down to the beach for a picnic; Our favorites are the macaroni salad, broccoli salad, deviled eggs, and tuna sandwich. There's also usually yesterday's fried chicken for $1 and some change and it's still great! Of course, the fresh chicken and sides steal the show- my husband LOVES grabbing their lun chi specials during the week. Wine and beer selection is wonderful and great place to stop for a drink and some snacks. Rooster's is a beloved gem in this town!
