Appetizers were the calamari and the pikilia. Not even enough for one person. For main course we all had the scampis, mine with the filet mignon. The $16 scampis were miniscule. The meat was good, but the plate was not worth the $28 price tag. Only one waiter was serving the entire restaurant, but he managed to give us prompt enough service. It would have been doubtful if the place was full (it was only half full).
If you are in Montreal you have many restaurants, and what you should do is stop at the first one you see, see the menu, most of them have them outside, and then go seat relax and have a good time, this is one place were you can relax and for the price is very good
This is a great family resto and it's a bring your own wine. The food is very good- something on the menu for everyone. The prices are reasonable. Just call ahead to make a reservation...especially on the weekend.
Fresh whole grain bread roll, a generous size. But unremarkable (white) rice pilaf. Why white?Wilted iceberg house salad; Caesar is extra, for no good reason.Quite good home fries.Unshelled shrimp; tasty batter, but tough texture.Decent beefsteak with sauteed mushrooms, but no bottled steak sauce was provided nor offered.Friendly but poor service, very slow. Business wasn't busy enough to justify the delay.Although the meal was table d'hote, the item was overpriced for its portions (not to mention its quality). The new management should have spent as much effort on the menu as the renovation.
That is a great family remnant and it is a separate wein. eating is very good - something on the menu for everyone. the prices are reasonable. just call forward to make a reservation. especially at the weekend.
