1860s Saloon - Saint Louis

First, let me start off saying, I have eaten here many many times before, however, yesterday on April 28, 2024, was the first time I experienced rudeness, confrontation and racism from one of the bartenders and the manager; at least that is who he said he was. Each and every time I've been given a military discount, but this time I was denied. I kindly tried to explain that I was given a discount but they were determined to have me pay full price, so l left the food and shared that I will never return again. So, this is how they show appreciation to a regular customer and a military veteran. #poorservice #rude #argumentative

Great bar in Soulard that offers many different vibes and good food! Their chicken tenders, wings, and crab cakes are delicious. Can't go wrong with their creole food either, it's very good. There's much more to try on their menu though and I've heard good things about most of their food. You can stay up front where they play live music and enjoy the band of the night with a nice cocktail food. I happened to go during a soul performance which was phenomenal. There's a back bar area with games such as darts, foosball, golf, and more. Can also hop on the TouchTunes and Dj for the bar if you'd like which is another plus. Then there's the back patio which is yet another vibe they offer! Service is always good, sometimes busy but they'll take good care of you. Check out this place if you're ever looking for something to do!

Decided to stop by and try 1860 Saloon. I must say they lemon pepper wing are amazing 10/10. The bartender was also amazing she was attentive to my needs and the drinks was good a reasonable. The ambiance was kinda dark but it's a bar so you get what you get. Parking was fine I can tell the later it gets the harder finding a parking place might be. I'll definitely would go back.

Good music, relaxed atmosphere. Anyone looking to hang out with some good music in a place that does its best to make its patrons feel safe and welcome should go here. I witnessed an example of some of the best doorman/security/bouncer behavior I've ever seen. Curtis is bad ass. There was an extremely toxicated person that was unable to speak coherently that came up to a member of our party. Curtis looked over just keeping an eye on things. Curtis calmly walked over and gently took the ladies hand in our party and quietly walked her away from the really drunk guy. As soon as he led the girl away, Curtis came back and escorted the drunk guy outside. If you weren't paying attention you would have missed that anything was wrong. Curtis needs a raise and to be commended for his demeanor and behavior. It was security/bouncing artistry.

Food is amazing! Great people and service. Music loud but not too loud. We will be back.
