Food was really good and authentic. Cute small family restaurant. Highly recommend! ???
The owners are very pleasant and personable. It is more friendly than most Asian ran businesses. The food is fresh and delicious and consistent. My second time here, I got the pork belly both times and loved it both times. Nothing was microwaved, and for the price $20 I was very pleased and would come again.
After seeing my friend post about Dou Dou Cafe on Snapchat, I knew what I was having the next day got lunch! A nice quaint space, limited menu but delicious offerings of what's available! I had the Spicy Pork Belly Bowl that was amazing! The pork was so tender and the rendered fat gave boss flavor! The spice level was a lil up there but perfect heat for me! Also had the beef lettuce wraps and spring rolls that were both beautiful bite of savory, sweet and freshness! My buddy had the Spicy Lemon Grass Beef Noodle Soup and slurped it down to the last drop. Caution though... Spicy is Spicy... at least he was teary eyed but just couldn't stop! Overall, don't miss out on this hidden gem! Literally... between the trees next to the historic Cheshire on Clayton Road! Get you some!
First time trying this place, let me say that this place is Not authentic Vietnamese food and is very overpriced. Beef noodle soup came out not hot, noodles were under cooked and broth in the bowl was so little. Such small portions for $18. Spring rolls were just noodles and half of a shrimp on each rolls for $9.50?? The Spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup had a combination of instant hot pot, Vietnamese crab soup and Tom yum to the broth, why? Lol Maybe the owner should just stick to their Chinese food.
