You can sit on the bar side (football was up, drink specials running) or the restaurant side we decided on the restaurant side. It wasn't very busy, there seemed to be a server working. We were all already set to our selection, so the order was a breeze. The food quickly came to I had the shepherd cake, which was well seasoned, aromatic herby. My husband had the fish pears that were sharp light, not at all so delicate or overcooked and a delicious aoli. The other two opted for beef and said it was okay, but not great. The price seemed quite reasonable for four.
Through st. louis went this restaurant next to our hotel. we loved it! it was a busy Monday because of hockey, but the place was full and alive and still rocking along just well. the food was delicious, we had appetizers and we had escaped. the helpers were generous. our server valerie was super! the place (she was busy and she still managed to stay over everything we needed. definitely recommend this restaurant tourist through. the small home town feels like:
Service and management were great. The food was sad and was dead from sitting in the window. 45 minutes after our order. And we came here before the rush so that this excuse didn't fly. Do better boys. Here's a picture of the chicken sandwich that was like a grilled cheese.
? Shepherd cake? Food and service leaves much to be desired. Very disappointed by a place that is an alleged St. Louis spinel. Their shepherd cake is basically a terrible version of Hamburg's helpers minus noodles, with a can of peas and carrots spilled update: During the service and food not on standard, the manager was very attentive and did everything she could to make it right, which was very appreciated.
Service, atmosphere, cleanliness and price all solid 4 stars. However, the corned beef and cabbage barley rates a 3. I will give them another chance. But it was the most bland food I've eaten in a long time. The corned beef looked like it came straight out of a deli case, sliced for sandwiches and dropped in a pot of unseasoned boiling water. Cabbage and potatoes the same.
