Russell's On Macklind - Saint Louis

Stopped in tonight to pick up the lemon curd cake I ordered for Mother’s Day, and Bill and Kevin were awesome as always. I don’t get to Russell’s as often as I used to, but I still always feel right at home. The food and service are always phenomenal!

Their food was meh at best...or mid. We had a breakfast sandwich and their special of the day, a Mac and cheese burger. We both chose potatoes as our sides and regretted it. There was no flavor to them and had to add more seasonings. The burger was good, wished it was cooked more as it was more of a medium vs medium well, but not a big deal. It needed a bit more sauce or seasonings on it as it was just lacking in the flavor department. The best thing was the gooey buttercake. That was to die for

Great brunch Russell's ! The cinnamon roll is a must try. And it's huge!!!! The portion sizes are very generous, probably could have shared the BLATE. Everything was fresh and the menu had lots of variety. Definitely excited to go back and try some other dishes. Cute, clean restaurant. Indoor, outdoor, and covered patio seating. Friendly staff and the bakery items are all so tasty. I especially love the cupcakes and brownies. We went on a sunday around 10:30 without a reservation, the wait was 30 minutes but we expected it so didn't bother us.
