Buvette des Bains - Saint-Malo

Is compensated for the very average quality of food. mustels were in order, but nothing more, French riders were already cold. house rosé was watery and not very good.

This bar is fully licenced with a good selection of seafood for all to choose reasonable priced. You get great views of the beach and the fort thrown in. It was very busy with lots of people eating there. We had the assiette de mer...and the mixed fried platter which we shared between 3 of us. Service was prompt and courteous.

We just ate crepes here. Crepes were served cold and very slow. Not good value. Recommend finding somewhere else. Nice view over the water but a definite tourist trap to be avoided if possible.

Sunset views over the beach and the Fort Nationale went nicely with the moules et frites and very nice red plonk. Great for people watching. Good food, very good service and the best location. Highly recommended for families too. NB nice to have even basic...red wine served at a decent temperature unlike the chilled stuff to be found inside the city walls at the overpriced proper restaurants.
