The owners are always helpful and friendly, even with my poor language skills. This place is so very French, a hidden gem. Called in again, September 23. It's still excellent.
This moderne, clean well run bistro is a hidden delight on the main street in Saint Malo's Saint Servan area rue Georges Clémenceau (which becomes rue Ville Pépin just south of this location . Step up to the fully chromed bar for a café, glass of wine or beer or continue on to the large room beyond and have a sit down lunch quickly prepared after your order. Their specials are noted each day and are served with fresh ingredients (des Halles has two markets per week so all the food is really fresh! . While English is not spoken, it is accommodated with smiles and comprehension. You'll often find it busy late morning, early lunch and late afternoon. Delightful prices, quick service, fresh light food served in a reserved quiet French atmosphere of locals enjoying a répas.
