Half-Peach is not close to my house, but we pick up, take at least once a month (and have opened it years ago) because it meets all the criteria of our big family. It offers healthy, oil-free food for the WFPB diets and many vegan junk foods to satisfy this desire. The food is consistent and amazing, with a variety and these qualities would earn a high rating of us alone. After having been patrons of this restaurant for years, we know Sue, the owner and chef. Their history of persistence through hardship and what she has endured to keep this business is not inspiring, but adds to the joy that she exudes every time we see it, and she is a documentation waiting for it. We are proud to support them and if the support of Half-Peach means eating more? That's not a problem. Recommendations: Buffalo pizza, drum sticks and the BLT in the Deli! I can go without salted chocolate chip cookies. *Bonus- they made the most delicious cakes and cupcakes for my daughter and son?s joint birthday in spring! I want to order my husband next month.
A poorly found, sweet family owned and operated vegan furnishings. One of Louisville's best secrets that should not be so secret! When we lived in Lou, we would order Half-Peach when we visited non-vegan friends as they have very vulnerable options. My Go-to is the raw taco salad; my husband's champions of the buffalo chik'n pizza.
From all well-known vegan places in Louisville, I think Half-Peach is my favorite. Your food is delicious, their staff is super friendly and they have a nice dining area where you can eat! If you come, you will definitely get the cookies at least.
I only got the chocolate chip cookies but holy crow they are to die for! I am very picky about my cookies, and these were delicious. Soft, chocolatey, sweet flavors. I will definitely be going back to try their meals. My gluten free friend was so excited that there was something for him too as vegan and GF can be hard to come by.
