Aroma's Pizza Cafe - Saint Paul

I tried Aroma's for the first time today. It was great! Service was fast, and the owners George and Mary are incredibly kind and welcoming. I loved my pizza and would also recommend the mac and cheese! I finished my meal with a fresh baked cookie which was also delicious. I look forward to eating at Aroma's again soon!

George (owner) super friendly and really knows his customers. Great staff. Pizza, cheese bread, broccoli salad, and veggie sandwich are fantastic. Oh, amazing rice Krispy bars!

The new breakfast sandwiches are wonderful! Real egg with meat/cheese of your choice on toasted English muffin or Ciabatta. The garlic cheese bread is to die for and accompanied by the absolute best marinara. The prices are very good as well.

Tucked in the Lowery building (that I think is pretty vacant) in DT St Paul. Neat little lunch spot. Had a turkey/swiss on bread baked on site! (Whole)Sandwich was big! Toppings seemed fresh. A little on the high side in price but for the amount of food you received...it was inline. Pizza by the slice was available and I was there later in the lunch rush! (2PM) Lady who made the sandwich was nice! I'll be back to try the pizza next.

I(USED)to love this place! The staff USED to be absolutely wonderful people. I just went back the other day to take my boyfriend to try this food I've been raving about. I walked in and immediately saw a dirty, not even half stocked cooler and some pizza that looked like it had been under the heat about a week too long. I was actually embarrassed by how much i had talked it up to seeing.....This. I asked casually about the former employees and was fed a story that true or not , should not be told to customers. We decided to be brave, because in truth, i have seen food that looked kind of unappetizing and turned out pretty good. This was not one of those cases. I honestly think they put sauce on a cardboard box from the back room, added toppings and sent it through the oven. GROSS!! All I'm going to say about the cleanliness was that sweeping the dirt and food into a pile UNDER THE REGISTER, and just leaving it even though we were the only customers in there, looks tacky and just eww! Lars needs to open his eyes and look at what is becoming of this once nice, hopping little pizza cafe` with excellent food. I hope something changes and the ambiance and cheerfulness returns with the quality food.
