Bangkok Thai Deli - Saint Paul

Bangkok, Thailand has been my favorite Thai restaurant for years. I have been a regular since they were in their original location. My reviews have always been positive, but today was a major disappointment. My favorite dishes are the spring rolls and the green curry with mock duck. I ordered both today and was let down. The spring rolls had mock crab instead of fresh shrimp, which was disappointing. And when I opened the container that normally holds rice, I was surprised to see noodles instead. I have never been served noodle curry before! Who is in charge here? They are closed on Tuesdays, so I will have to wait until Wednesday to call and complain. I hope the quality of their food has not changed, but if it has, I will seriously consider finding another restaurant.

The service was disappointing and felt dishonest. In the past, there was even an incident where we found an insect in our food. We thought to give them another chance, but after this experience, we have decided not to return. It is clear that this restaurant does not prioritize good customer service.

The food is delicious and authentic at this restaurant. The only issue is that they have a wide variety of items on their menu, making it difficult to decide what to order. As a result, we often end up getting the same dish every time.

I have come to this place for years and her food was always really tasteful and came in large portions. this evening, the quantities were unfortunately at about 50% and the eating tasted pale. my suppe might have had a cup of broth in it and was warm, not hot. Moreover, I did not notice that the tip has already been added to the sum, so that I tilted twice.

Love the food as always but the service suck so bad. I understand they are busy but as a restaurant the servers should try to be better, especially because they charge tip already if you go in a group of 6 or more. We waited to get water, waited to put our order in. Not enough utensils for everyone, a few of our dishes never came out but we got charged for them still. Good thing we kept track and told them. Server also never came back to refill our waters or check on us. They need a utensils and water self serve station if they always this busy. I'll do it myself and just not tip!
