The jambalaya was good, nice spice. Gumbo had authentic creole flavor I think of when I hear the word, dirty rice was tasty, crab cakes were drizzled wth a great zesty creole sauce and the beignets topped it all off nicely. The shrimp and grits were different than I expected, more hearty than spicey like I've had at other places. I thought the red beans and rice needed more flavor and the beignets could use more plain powdered sugar, but they were served with a caramel and chocolate sauce and were still very good. Everything was comparable to food we've had in New Orleans. Our waitress was very friendly, our drinks were never empty. They don't serve alcohol, but a glass of wine or a daiquiri would have gone well with the atmosphere. We always drove to Maplewood for creole and Cajun food, glad to have this restaurant choice so close to home.
We both had their catfish, was great, also praline cake, and beignet s, fantastic, loved it, great server also..
2 thumbs up Hurricanes were right on the money. Crawfish Etouffee was to die for. Gumbo was fantastic. Red beans and rice were authentic. Shrimp Po Boy was worth the trip. Beignets were the perfect ending to a great meal.
Wow. They just opened by my house. We went in not expecting much. But we were blown away by the Gumbo. As good as I've had in Louisiana. The corn bread was amazing and the owner made sure we were enjoying our food. New go to spot.
Just did a carry out order with the nachos and the jambalaya! Very good! Needed just a dash of salt and sadly I didn't have any so I put the jambalaya on my nachos and it was the most amazing thing ever! Just an idea to add to your menu! Yumm!
