Despite the restaurant advertising that they accepted credit cards at the entrance, we were forced to pay in cash. Lacking Canadian currency, we paid in US dollars, but were charged an exchange rate 15% higher than the official rate. This experience left a negative impression on our trip, and we do not recommend this restaurant.
4 women sat in their 630 reservation, informed the waiter that we were on ballet 8 Our order was taken by 7. We reminded the waiter of our ballet and tried to find a manager in which no one was... not charging food over a salad. At the end of 745 the waiter told us 10 minutes!!! We all stood up and went. This same waiter was overheared to beat 2 of the dancers (from the ballet we wanted) to say the night before they had not left a tip. Although they said they hadn't been in the night before! Rude unprofessional ridiculous lack of service. And no dinner! The shame if it's all that we've been there before and the food is good. But now they have lost loyal customers
We had a great dinner here. I ordered cousin Royal. When served on the table. It surprised me with 2 Tajine, one with all kinds of meat, lamb, poulet and sausage, and the other with couscous and vegetables. They tasted delicious, and wonderful when... They are ready to taste Harissa spice and Marcoone Beurre, which tastes blue cheese. The pasta, I have to say it's average, no surprise. But service is excellent. We would recommend people to come and try! It will be a very good experience.
The food is mediocre at best. Small portions, canned vegetables, pasta swim in oil. And they only take cash so we had to run a few blocks to get to an ATM. (at least they told us at the beginning of the meal, unlike other... reviews here. And yes, super weird service. The waitress was friendly, but the hostess (I think I came to the end of our meal, put the disgusting dirty dishes bucket on our table and began to delete the table *while we had our drinks*! Saint Sauveur has many amazing restaurants. That's not one of them.
This was a favorite restaurant but it is sadly slipping. They did not have our first or second choice of wine. The penne appetizer was much, much too spicy. They didn’t have the trout so we had salmon instead. About 2/3 of it was uncooked....When the cheque was presented and we gave a credit card the waitress came back with the info that the interac system was broken and that earlier customers had to go to ATMs to get cash for payment. If she knew this why did she take our cards? What is the explanation for a restaurant that runs its inventory down and only takes cash? I don’t know but it’s probably not kosher.
