Miyazaki Prefectural Saitobaru Archaeological Museum

Ancestors of modern Japan started here. Dozens of burial mounds over 2,000 years old. Museum has limited to no English in the exhibits, but the artifacts tell their own story. Highly recommended if you are a history of civilizations buff.

The tour was the best for free. I could see various kinds of souvenirs and deepen my knowledge about the tumulus of Kyushu. It was interesting that the goods I sold in。 were interesting.

Fantastic spot to learn the history and sightseeing. You can use the camera as long as you don't turn on the flashlight. They have a restaurant on the 3rd floor. The scenery from the top roof is amazing!

無料にしては展示がかなり充実している博物館。日本列島全般の古墳時代についての展示のほか、 南九州に特徴的な地下式横穴墓を含めた西都原古墳群についての展示などがあります。順路などが分かりづらかったですがこれは来館者自らが主体的に学べることを目的としたユニバーサルデザインを導入しているそうで、意図的に無くしているそうです。展示の仕方も独特で面白かったですし、知名度が無いのか人も少ないのでのんびりと滞在できました。ベビーカーの貸し出しも無料であり、子連れでも安心して訪問できます。

西都原古墳群（さいとばる）の博物館です。営業時間は9:30-17:30。休館日は基本月曜日です。 無料で見学できます。有料でもいいぐらいのボリューム、情報量です。トイレも綺麗でエアコンも効いてます。素晴らしいです。 誰がなんのためにこの場所に古墳を築き上げたのかよくわかりませんでしたが、凄さは十分に伝わってきました。 ぜひ宮崎県に訪問したら立ち寄りましょう
