El Albero Salamanca

Great steakhouse, quirky place with the chef doing everything, cooking, serving etc etc. My entrecôte was excellent and the beer and wine hit the spot! Definitely recommend for anyone who wants a top quality bit of steak and more.

Arrived at 9 and the chef wasn’t there so had to wait. Decided to stay due to the rating and number of good reviews. My partner had steak which should have been medium but was raw in places. My fish was just average and came with no potato or veg or salad. Very expensive too. We had a steak, sea bass, shared a potato starter and the cheapest wine and it was €76 which compared to other meals we have had in Spain was expensive. The place was dirty but staff were lovely

We were spending a few days at the nearby Parador and opted to go for dinner at el Albero after reading good reports. We were certainly not disappointed. The waitress and the owner/chef were most welcoming, taking time to explain the different dishes on offer and even offering samples to help us make up our mind. The meal was one of the highlights of our 3 week visit to Spain and Portugal.As well as the high quality food, what impressed us was the care and attention to ensuring that customers enjoyed their evening. Recommended 100% without hesitation.
