We have here a few times, before the kovid dirt, and always enjoyed eating and service. this was our first trip back in a few years, so we are very happy. we decided on lunch and the outside terrace. very nice outside and comfortable. we were warmly welcomed and water, menus and bread given. we chose both a pasta with gorgonzola and sausage and suppe instead of salate. the suppe was not hot, it was just warm. the pasta was gummy, how do you get pasta to be gummy? I never did. the sauce was a thick mess..not creamy. with sausages that could not taste for too much cheese. I couldn't believe this dish was served like that. was it microwave? we ate the brot, the suppe and some of the pasta, but could not finish it or even want to go a box. Too bad the quality was so low. I can't even think of returning after this lunch. that doesn't make my day to write that, but the lunch today was just not good.
We thought to finish Mother's Day yesterday with a nice meal at Gamberetti's. They were clearly busy, but we were seated within 20 minutes. Not too long after, the waitress took our order and brought bread. Another wait, and we got our salad. And then... we waited and waited and WAITED, just two of us at a tiny table in the middle of the noise and bustle, watching table after table be seated after us, get their meal, eat, and check out while we still waited for our food. The waitress checked in with the kitchen several times, and still no food. The noise became overwhelming. My appetite vanished. I felt a migraine coming on. I finally asked for our order to be made to-go because I was exhausted. The waitress was very apologetic, and when our food finally came close to an hour and a half since we ordered she included desserts as well. How was the food? I don't know. I still haven't tasted it. The boxed food went straight into the refrigerator when we got home, and I took my migraine medicine and went to bed. Kitchen crew, what the heck? Management, why weren't you on top of this? I don't think we'll ever be back. It doesn't matter how good the food is. I can't endure that level of misery just for a dinner that I couldn't eat.
Absolutely incredible, we tried the calamari, best I’ve ever had, and the mozzarella buratta as appetizers. For our mains we got the carbonara, marsala gnocchi, and seafood alfredo. For the carbonara, we wished the pancetta would’ve been a little crispier, but it was a winner. Marsala gnocchi was amazing and I couldn’t even put my fork down. Seafood alfredo, could be a personal preference, but I don’t like digging through my food to take the shells off before I can actually enjoy my food. I loved everything we had, don’t get me wrong, just a few minor things. Can’t wait to return!
We've only ordered for takeout in the past 2 yrs during the pandemic, but they have a nice outdoor seating dining atmosphere....gorgeous in the spring summer months! Friendly staff and wonderful food!
