Momiji Japanese - Salem

We love the sushi here. Occasionally things are forgotten and for some reason our food was cold this time. Thats why only 4 stars this time. Shrimp Tempura Roll is my favorite

The spicy salmon roll was delicious. However, the Sake Deluxe Roll had a strong smoked salmon flavor that I found to be too intense and chemical-tasting, making it difficult to eat. The restaurant provided plenty of ginger and low-sodium soy sauce, as I had requested.

I always go for the Oregon salmon roll and the California roll at this restaurant - they never disappoint! I absolutely love this place.

I would recommend sticking to the sushi menu and select sides at this restaurant. The Salt Pepper Squid that I tried was lacking seasoning and tasted like undercooked calamari. It also seemed to be cooked in oil that wasn't hot enough, resulting in soggy calamari. The Dinner Bento was disappointing and didn't even come with a salad.

Sesame balls and Gyoza were excellent! My husband liked his Spicy Shrimp Tempura Roll. My Tiger Roll was not good and the Avocado Boat was hot and its described as cold.
