Very friendly reception. the personal was very helpful. good atmosphere plentiful selection of food n drinks. a visit
For a taste of home during our trip to Italy we decided to try this place. Apart from the decor, there's nothing really Irish about it. All of the staff are Italian with very little/no English and although very friendly, the service was slow. We ordered a few rounds of drinks and were shocked when we received our bill as we were charged almost double the average price. When we enquired about this we were informed that we were given premium spirits. All in all the experience was a bit of a con from start to finish. Stick with the real Italian places as opposed to those trying to get in on the luck of the Irish.
Irish pub??? Can't speak English and menu Italian with no English version, I've no doubt that the food is fine but I had no idea what to order, at least 1 staff member should have some English, I've been to Italian restaurants in Ireland and didn't have to learn Italian!!
We were trying to find a place that wasn 't just more Italian food and being of Irish heritage found it fitting to try out this place. Very cramped and dark, but felt like a legitimate pub for sure. One thing that was definitely surprising to me was that their signature dish was Irish Ribs . Now maybe I didn 't spend enough time in Ireland, but most small local pubs we went to didn 't offer ribs. So of course we had to see what it was about and ordered it along with a pistachio pesto pizza and a stuffed baked potato. The potato thing was definitely a huge deal as it seemed like 90% of the menu was something with potato, so kind of riding a stereotype. The food was good, other than the signature ribs ha ha. The pizza was perfectly cooked, the pistachio pesto was rich and creamy. The baked potato was also very good, not burnt and was cooked through. The filling was delicious, unfortunately I can 't recall exactly what was in it (lost in translation). I believe we ordered the croquettes as well since we love them as a snack. They came in a nice basket and were great. The ribs however... ouch. Please don 't call that a signature dish or claim that is what you are known for, its an insult to the Irish and an insult to ribs. For those who know US foods, you could pick up a rack of ribs precooked in BBQ sauce from the grocery store for $5 8 and they honestly are better. The pork was cooked okay, but nothing stood out about the ribs. Other than the bones it felt like we were eating a McRib or some other processed pork product. To the owners of the pub please go find true BBQ ribs and follow suit, this fast food equivalent is bad! So if you are from the US or are familiar with other quality BBQ foods like Korean BBQ, please skip the ribs and get something else. Overall we had a great experience, great food(other than the ribs), great Irish beer, and great service.
