The place was nothing special but we needed the bathroom and with a newborn we thought we'd stop here where there were fewer people. And now I understand why. The only excellent thing was the boy who served us. Kind and thoughtful, in December they had full air conditioning and he was very apologetic Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: €10–20 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1
TOP SPOT ! On the first morning of our 4 night 3 day vacation in beautiful Salerno in Italy we had to find a good breakfast place that suited our needs for the next few days. PLENTY OF ESPRESSO BARS ! The popular model in Salerno was a coffee shop that served pasties...lots of pastries and nothing else. We just can't do pastries for breakfast. At around 11am we decided to investigate this cafe a bit further inside.....it had lots of pastries too. THERE'S MORE ! We asked a guy behind the counter...a nice fellow named Vincenzo who though he spoke very limited English was able to tell us they could make us ham cheese omelettes. YEAH BABY ! We were thrilled and headed out the back to their cosy dining room. Now the reason we headed out the back rather than sit out the front of the cafe was the smoking.....Italians were lighting up everywhere we went and particularly on the outdoor patios of cafes restaurants. We ordered 2 x Ham Cheese Omelettes, 2 x Double Shot Cappuccinos...no lattes or latte art in Italy and a Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice. Our Double Shot Cappuccinos in smallish 8 oz cups hit the total satisfaction button. Thanks to Ciro the talented barista who even brought them to our table. Vincenzo our server brought us a filled carafe and glasses of cool water. DID YOU KNOW ? The tap water in Italy tastes sensational everywhere. A chef named Hasnain worked away making our Ham Cheese Omelettes while we watched from our table. We couldn't believe our luck choosing a cafe that could deliver us great coffees and a fresh cooked brekkie. BINGO ! Before we knew it we were devouring our totally scrumptious Ham Cheese Omelettes...our sides of toasty crunchy bread were a bit tough to get through....it's the Italian way. My Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice tasted perfectly good. We totally loved our late breakfast brunch so this was going to be our go to place for breakfast..and just a 10 minute walk from our apartment. WHOO HOO ! As we left I asked Vincenzo where could we find a great dessert place ? I nearly fell over when he said...Mr Whippy and pointed the way to our right. THAT WAS THE TIP OF A LIFETIME ! 2 cappuccinos and 2 croissants, 12 euros! And they didn't particularly stand out either for service or quality. Absolutely unjustified cost.
Very nice bar, excellent service, selection of appetizers for an aperitif, and excellent selection of wines. Vegetarian options: They offered vegetarian option for the aperitif, amazing choice! Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
An old biscuit to throw away, a flooded bathroom with no indications: man or woman. The only decent thing, the environment with soft music. Sin! Meal type: Other Price per person: €1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
