Les Templiers - Salers

Excellent food and service. We visited two occasions, and secondly we had the steak and pan roasted truffade, the taste was excellent and the steak very good. We also had the ice desserts that were beautiful. I have a nut... Allergy and staff went out the way to help and gave real friendly service. Salers is located in a beautiful region.

We visited this rest as he was a bit from the centre and was not disappointed. We wanted to taste local delicacies such as Gentian and Saler's beef. the food was delicious and plentiful the staff was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant was soon...ful and they became people away, always a sign that the food is very acceptable.

I came to Salers pretty late for lunch. tired and hungry. Les Templiers was the first restaurant I came from the parking lot, and since the hour was good after lunch and the outdoor tables looked quite inviting, I did not hesitate and asked...if they would join me. After some consultations with the kitchen I was admitted and while I was obviously the last diner, I was not rushed and left a peaceful lunch. This made me assign the fourth circle of evaluation, while the food itself deserves no more than three. I had filled the local specialty of cabbage, which was a very generous help and quite edible, despite the obvious fact that it was once too often heated. For the desert I had a coup colonel with decent lemon ice cream and a generous shot of vodka. All in all a pleasant, if not spectacular. Lunch.

You have to take into account that they cater mainly for tourists, and that the menu is mainly auvergne specialities. Therefore this choise on the menu is what you get in almost all the restaurants in Salers. And they serve this correctly and good. But...what i found the most important is that the service was, nevertheles the place was full, with a smile. They run arround as creazy, in order to serve everybody correctly, which they succeeded, but at the table they were relaxed and clame, having time for a joke.

Good restaurant. We tried some local dishes, hotpot (with various pork) and stuffed cabbage. Both good. Service was friendly, although they were busy, so it was a bit hard to get their attention on the patio where we sat.
