The Botanist Bar Restaurant Media City

Beautiful looking place. Food and drink are enjoyable. Pricing is reasonable and dependent on where you sit, the view can be lovely, especially at night. Botanist staff can't do enough for you, and I want to thank them for meeting my requests. Four stars are given just because dogs are allowed around eating areas, which I personally think is unhygienic. I think Botanist should provide a separate area for those who want to bring their dogs. Parking: I've never struggled to find a parking space. Kid-friendliness: Botanist are happy to have kids. There is a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Botanist have a lift. Service was poor, especially as it was not too busy. The table beside us had their drinks and food orders taken before us, despite us arriving earlier. My drinks order was wrong when it arrived. The food when it arrived was very tasty but was luke warm at best. When we asked for the bill it hadn't arrived 10-15 mins later so we had to ask another waitress for our bill. the card readers were down so we had to queue at the bar to pay the bill and there was only 1 person working on the bar serving drinks and taking payments. Not a great experience at all. I've been a few times and this is definitely the worst and probably last time we visit. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Charming spot, friendly staff. Only speed in for drinks and a snack, but the menu looks interesting enough for a proper visit. Bustling and busy best make a reservation. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
