Tranquilitea Cake Tea Emporium

Absolutely love this place, the English breakfast is the best by far. The staff are lovely and friendly. Can’t recommend enough 10/10

This is a lovely café. The food is good and the service friendly and efficient. I often pop in and did order on line for delivery at times. Going to the café has not changed and I go every couple of weeks or so. It’s a lovely place and the staff are so nice. However, I really liked being able to order a delivery on occasion when I wasn’t able to go myself but over the past couple of months or so I have been unable to make an order! Tranquilitea remains on the Just Eat website and you can make an ‘order’ but once it has gone to the café for confirmation there is no response! After a fair wait Just Eat does come back to say there has been no response and refunds the money of the order. The only way to see if deliveries have resumed is to try and order. But Why remain on Just Eat if you are not able to do deliveries? Or could a message be put on the delivery service Tranquilitea page indicating deliveries are not available? Also, something regarding collecting orders? The listed telephone numbers does not work. I tried to ring to order and pick up rather than a delivery but the line appears to be dead! Surely if you do not have a working telephone then a) you cannot get direct orders for takeaway, get a reservation for a table, etc., and b) you are unable to deliver via any of the delivery services which all rely on you having a working telephone linked to the delivery website/service. Whilst this is a great place to go to it is a very bad experience on line and the café should seriously consider removing itself from the delivery service, put a notice on the delivery website or ensure that it works.

This morning my family and I went to have breakfast with Santa. It was fab!!!! The staff were friendly, and attentive. The cafe was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The whole morning was nothing but amazing. I liked the fact we were not rushed and each child got adequate time with Santa. Will definitely be booking next year, and would recommend it to anyone. I have also been in when it isn’t an event, and always have great service and food. Always make sure you save room for cake!

Great little cafe for brunch, lunch or just tea cake. Excellent service fabulous home made cakes at very reasonable prices.

I realised after my visit today that I’ve never reviewed this fantastic gem of a cafe. We have been coming here for years through different owners and management. Great for young families, retired couples meet ups or catching up with friends. Service is fantastic, all the staff are a credit to the place they’re friendly and welcoming, but are also happy with the no pressure approach, they can see you’re with friends/family so don’t bug you every 5mins asking if you’re ok and can they get you anything else!! The food is also gorgeous and incredibly good value. I really find nothing to complain about here. It’s my go to place for meeting anyone or taking someone for a good bite to eat! I’ve even been known to have a work meeting or two there. There used to be a gorgeous play area for children when my daughter was small it was a firm favourite for us as a safe place we could always go to. Covid has taken that for now but I do hope it will return in the future, if safe to do so, as there has always been a steady flow of burnt out mums needing a place to have a brew!
