Best food and service I've experienced in a long time! So many tempting choices! Even if you're on hwy. 285 it's worth the short detour. I'll be back!

Before we hit the road for home, we took in a wonderful little breakfast nook in Salida called Robin's. The atmosphere is artsy and whimsical, and the staff is friendly and attentive.I had eggs on a bed of corned beef and country potatoes with rye toast, and my wife had peach almond pancakes with a side of bacon. Everything was outstanding, including the coffee!Outside, there are huge purple sage plants. If you can find a stalk without bees on it, the flowers, easily scooped, have an intoxicating aroma. We learned afterwards that they're also edible.

Sure would be nice if you got the order correct when paying $19.19 for a fried chicken sandwich. Got back to work to find a rubbery grilled chicken sandwich instead. Also charging a to go fee is bogus. Then also a non cash fee too. Just add a $1.50 to all the already overpriced food items on the menu.

I ordered biscuits and gravy. They looked good when they came but they were overly salted when I told them that they told me to replace it with anything which then I had a salad. It was very good. Their ranking would be higher if it wasn't for the salty gravy on the biscuits and gravy.
