My father, who is 87, has difficulty eating chicken with bones so I asked our server if it was possible to have a boneless version of the dish. Unfortunately, they said it wasn't possible which was disappointing as we were hoping for an exception to be made. Despite this, the restaurant had a beautiful ambiance and was perfect for a family outing.
This restaurant is very busy but worth the wait because the food quality is exceptional. The chicken cafreal is a must-try dish, I give it a 5-star rating.
I believe that calling this restaurant a temple is not an exaggeration, as it offers a divine food experience. My visits to Goa are incomplete without dining here. I appreciate the spacious layout and private conversations allowed by the well-spaced tables. Unlike other popular places in Goa, this restaurant is not crowded, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. The majority of patrons are locals, which makes a difference. The menu offers affordable and delicious dishes, with the chicken cafreal being a standout choice, along with poiee bread. I also enjoyed the shrimp xacuti and shrimp Balchao, as well as the king fish fry and bombil fry. Personally, I prefer the curries and chicken herbed dishes. The shrimp fried rice is subtle and pairs well with curry. The prices are reasonable, with a bill for two typically falling under 1200-1300 rupees. The shrimp curries may have a limited variety of shrimp, but the quality is still good. Parking may be a challenge, but we usually rent an Activa bike and have had no issues. Overall, the service is excellent, with polite and helpful staff members. Be sure to check out the photos of the delicious food and drinks served here.
One of the rare occasions where we make a review without even tasting the food. With many expectations of the reviews we had seen for Florentine, we have set ourselves for the place just to finish losing... not only the food, but some big dollars in repairs for the car. The place can have the best cafreal in the city, but also the craziest z shaped entrance to the parking lot through a narrow alley. The parking lot was full, and we had to return all the way out and end with bad scratches on the car. And then we found out by the reviews that this is not new. I wish the restaurant has set up a valet or worst case to visit a board to inform people when the parking lot is full. We'll try again when we get there, but with a taxi instead of our own car.
It was a short walk through the fields to get here from my hotel so I came here a few times for lunch. Wide open on all sides, spacious and airy always a plus for me. The food was good although I missed real...vegetable dishes. Vegetarian usually means mushrooms, peas, lentils, and a palak paneer which wasn't palakky enough for me. The meat dishes were great. Good fruit juices, I didn't have any alcohol. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
