Enjoyable meal except 3 of our party had sirloin steaks very dry Salmon ,lamb chops and prawn and pork skewers very tasty Would return again

This is a small family run restaurant with excellent traditional food, greatly cooked. An hidden gem! The restaurant is comfortable, despite the remarkably unpretentious decoration of the room don't be fooled by the modest looks. Service is friendly and efficient. Food is mostly traditional Portuguese...food, greatly cooked and served in large quantities (one dose will be probably enough for 3 adults). Clearly one of the best options around Caldas da Rainha.

The food is very similar to that of the restaurant just down the road and just as good. Here, the picanha is served in a skewer and is delicious. Accompaniments beans and rice, chips much the same as other restaurants. Do not judge this from...the outside, you need to go up the stairs to the restaurant and it is often busy and not very big. A little more expensive than other restaurants we visit.

We visited this restaurant while staying in a villa 10 minutes away. We did not pre book and the owner was very accommodating for our party of 9. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was amazing and plenty of it and the...prices were unbelievably reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in the area.
