Kafe Mamai - Salt Lake City

I love Kafe Mamai soooooo much and have admitted to Chef Abudu I stalk him around the valley. He's always friendly and just tonight joked back he will see me tomorrow (and there's a good chance of it). I have been thinking about this place for a week and finally found them closer to me tonight and excitedly rearranged dinner plans with family to come here instead.There's not much to it, the j chicken plate is sensational. The plantains, j chicken, rice/beans, and j sauce pair together beautifully. The plantains are slightly sweet, the chicken extremely juicy and tender, the sauce spicy, and the rice/beans just sop up everything wonderfully. I'm not a big fan of beans but really love it in this dish. Honestly the descriptors do not give this dish enough justice, just find them and give them a try.

Got lunch at the food truck. Friendly and kind people, he had us at the sample. Such flavorful and tender chicken, dear god it was heaven. 11/10 both dishes with drinks was $27 and you get SOOO much meat. Thank you for existing!
