Kneaders Bakery Cafe - Salt Lake City

Stayed a night in SLC to drive to Jackson Hole. Ordered a simple chicken salad croissant and Turkey /w Cheese with some pastries. They must have dumped a jar of salt on the chicken salad and a basic turkey w/cheese, well, got a cheese only sandwich. Talk about a bad impression with a place that seemed to have so much. Either it's just this place or the food expectations in the area are really low. Had to throw it away. I will say the City Creek mall seemed nice. Food not so much.

Their salads are expensive, but they were big and so good it was worth it. Now the salads are smaller, and they don't have my favorite. My favorite was turkey, bacon, avocado. I ordered the French dip instead, and it was not good because it was made with cold cut beef, not roasted beef. And also, they sent the wrong loaf of bread.

The service was extremely friendly and the ambiance was soothing. However $18 for a sandwich combo to be greeted with this was just disappointing. Over the years, they have taken out more and more from the bulk of the sand which leaving this monstrosity. Really disappointed on how much Kneaders has fallen

I 'm not the kind of person to write a yelp review on anything but my experience here was so bad that I downloaded yelp to write this. I ordered a sandwich almost completely plain and they brought it out with some other things on it. I asked for it to be remade and specified how I wanted it made, and they brought out the completely wrong sandwich for a second time. By this time I had somewhere to be so I kindly asked if I could get a refund. The second sandwich they brought out was not even touched. The woman who brought me out the sandwich told me they don 't normally give out refunds when there 's nothing actually wrong (after they made the sandwich wrong twice). My friends and I explained that there actually WAS something wrong as it was their error, and the woman proceeded to tell me she didn 't need [my] friends being rude to her. On the way out, they shouted a passive aggressive have a great day, guys to us across the store. I see why the reviews of this place are not great. Shouldn 't even be three stars. However, the redhead girl that took my order at the front was really sweet and helpful. If you want a good sandwich/salad/soup in Salt Lake, cafe zupas is a much better option.

Good selection, decent coffee.but they seem to be utterly understaffed and/or disorganized.30 minutes of waiting for two lattes and a cookie, really?
