Nohm - Salt Lake City

Phenomenal food! We got the Yaki Udon and Chicken Katsu. Both dishes had amazing flavor that you just can’t get anywhere else.

Very delicious. Super fresh options and quick service. Weird ambiance but every restaurant has its quirks. ‍ ️

I think between 5 of us, we ordered the whole menu except for the katsu, and EVERYTHING was a hit! The chili cauliflower is “can’t miss” status and the sashimi platter got high marks. Caine was warm and knowledgeable, about the menu. We’ll be back!

Nohm is easily one of the best if not *the* best restaurant in the Salt Lake valley. The negative review of this place fundamentally does not understand the concept of anju/izakaya. Nohm's menu is meant to be small plates to be shared and they are meant to be paired for drinking. Water Witch encourages people to order food and bring it over which is perfect if that's your vibe. In spite of the fact that they were understaffed and it took a while to get served, plus they ran out of rice, but later brought some, the food was terrific. We tried several dishes, but I focused on the chicken katsu and that seemed to be the favorite of the table. Wonderful ambiance, but due to the acoustics inside they really need to keep the music level down.
