The Olive Bistro - Salt Lake City

I had made a reservation with my family, but when we arrived at the restaurant, it was closed. It was disappointing after getting everyone excited and ready to have some delicious crepes. Not a great experience.

Good food and service. The restaurant is right across the street from the Capital Theater so it is very convenient for the Utah Opera and Ballet West performances. The noise level is a bit high, but there is outside seating in good weather. The prices were reasonable and the owner is very friendly and makes sure that each table is well taken care of.

We had opera tickets and this restaurant is conveniently located across the street. The service was friendly, but unfortunately, it was below average. We ordered an appetizer and plates were not provided. When we asked for them, only 2 were brought for our party of 3. Our dishes were not cleared even when dessert was brought out. For the entrees, there was a choice of teriyaki or chipotle BBQ sauce for chicken and fish, which seemed out of place on a menu that is not Mediterranean or French. It appears that the menu is influenced by SYSCO. It is recommended to stick with the crepes on the menu.

Sam was absolutely amazing. He provided us with excellent service and delicious food and wine. He was the sweetest man ever.

Had a reservation. I have the family ready, which is how Herding cats have all excited them to have some killer crepes, bundled into the car, drive to the restaurant and it was CLOSED. Not cool.
