Extremely generous portions and delicious dishes make this place a great value (you can definitely share entree with two people). We all left full, sated, and with ample leftovers. Vegan friendly options were yummy as well (get the veggie burrito bowl for a feast)! Vegetarian options: Owner offered vegan options and I was super happy with his offerings. Sorry to say that the food was not up to par with the nice interior of this restaurant. We were disappointed with the food. The beef tacos were made with cubes of meat that was dry and chewy. The chicken tacos also dry, the meat was overcooked and did not taste good. Nothing was fresh! The place is nicely decorated that’s about it! Just finished a lovely Sunday afternoon at La Porta Azul. We sat outside on the patio. Well protected from the road traffic and noise. Our waiter went out of his way to make us feel at home. He was friendly but not overbearing. He was very attentive to our needs. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the food was delicious. I would not hesitate to recommend. Highly recommended! I had 12 family members of all ages coming into town and decided to give La Puerta Azul a try as it had been on my list for a while. It was great all around and everyone agreed, including all the picky eaters in the group. The restaurant was able to accommodate us even though I called just a day in advance. All the food was really delicious and there were only empty plates left behind. They also accommodated many special requests. Vegetarians loved their meals. Seafood lovers loved their meals. Meat eaters loved their meals. The churros were also awesome and I saw them be from scratch in the kitchen. So hot and tender and delicious. Melted in your mouth. People who were too full fully stole their own and raved. The decor is also a hoot! Waterfall when you enter a little bridge to cross inside. We sat in a private room at the biggest round table we 've ever seen. Everyone was absolutely entertained. The service was also great. Again, they accommodated every picky eater and made menu recommendations that were great. Food was hot and delicious. Really nice presentations. Go here. You 'll really like it. I plan to return with basically everyone I know. It was bad. Don’t go by their menu on line. We went because they said they had tequila flights. They did not. Our food was luke warm at best. The enchilada sauce was more like marinara. Expensive and not good. Service: Dine in Price per person: $100+ Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
