The Local Bar - Salt Spring Island

The atmosphere at this neighborhood pub reminded me of the bar scenes from the show Shameless. The locals were lively and fun to listen to. Selena and Lauren, the bartenders, were very friendly and knew most of the customers by name. This might not be the typical tourist spot for a quiet getaway on a sleepy island town, but I loved every minute of it. I will definitely be returning!

This restaurant is truly intriguing with a fantastic variety of drinks and delicious food. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, especially since it's ordered in and there is no kitchen. The meals were all fresh, quick, and tasty. The added bonus of live music made for a great atmosphere.

This is definitely a locals drinking spot. I didn 't see food offered here at all. Mind you, it was hard getting a beer from the one server, as the locals were all crowded around the bar and the server did not seem interested in moving...from there. So, if you are not in a rush and want to stop for a beverage and people watch, this is the place.

On Saturday afternoon, after crossing the farmer market, we decided to stop here at midday. there was only one dame that the bar in the interior and also the customers outside, so we did not expect the service to be so good, but we were sure to be wrong. the lady who served was an excellent task to keep everyone served and was run away from their feet but never missed a beat. and eating was served hot and tasty. we really enjoyed the visit!
