Sky Restaurant Bar - Salzburg

Excellent service and delicious food provided. My proposal is to book table in advance as its very popular place.

A local friend suggested to dine here to look back to the city with mountains as a background for the fortress Hohensalzburg. It is interesting on a modern hotel called Cool Mama about twenty minutes outside the city. I visited Salzberg some time in the past, but it was interesting to see the old city back from this new location and a beer or two when the sun went down. We had burgers who were delicious and big enough to fill us. I don't want too many European sauces on my food, so I asked them on the side and that worked well with the pulled pork. Menu is not cheap as you could expect with such a view, but it is worth what you pay especially at sunset.

We stayed in the hotel and wanted to have dinner. We were told that it is not possible to reserve. But when. We came back the next evening, we were told all tables are reserved. We managed to have lunch the day after. Wait for the food was one hour and food was very average. Not close to the price they charged. If you would like a nice view, go there for lunch or drinks before evening. After evening, you can’t see much. View at the dusk is very nice. We found level of English not so good for such an upmarket restaurant.

I wanted a nice restaurant to dine at for my 50th birthday in Salzburg close to our hotel. We chose this restaurant. I ordered a chicken salad which consisted of 4 small pieces of fried chicken and a huge MOUND of green leaf salad with a dressing (which I didn 't like) plus 1 small tomato. There was far too much salad for the amount of chicken. I had ordered a bowl of chips (extra) and these were lukewarm when they came. My boyfriend ordered a beef dish which came with potatoes. The waiter poured a watery gravy over it and it looked a bit basic but he said it tasted nice. I told the waitress it was my 50th and she said 'and you 're not going to have a dessert?? ' as if she just wanted to plug an extra course. As stated there is no view on the evening and there were cranes outside when we first arrived and it was still a bit light. The inside was so dark I couldn 't take a photo or see the menu very clearly. Quite expensive for what we got I think.

Leider wurde meine Bewertung leider zum Hotel zugeordnet - Aber nochmals hier verkürzt: Nach Regenguss wurde die Terasse 3h später und klarem sonnigen Himmel nicht mehr betreut. Nach eigener Bestellung in der Bar wurden uns die Getränke "ausnahmsweise" gebracht unter der Bedingung nicht ohne zu zahlen zu gehen. Subtile Unterstellungen könnte man sich im direkten Kundenservice sparen. Essen (reduzierte Karte) wurde somit auch nicht serviert. So mit mit meinem Gast aus Wien nach unten um den schönen Blick bei einem Gericht zu genießen. Leider etwas rethorisch ungeschickt auf die andere Seite des Gebäudes in das Restaurant geschickt dann mit falsch serviertem Gericht den Abend abgeschlossen. Essen & Location aber Top! Allerdings ist im Service Luft nach oben!
