Pad thai is always spot on, as is every style of curry I've ever had. Curry puffs and spring rolls are also delish. If i had to fault them, they never give enough sweet chilli dipping sauce for said puffs/rolls, but I won't mark them down for that. Also they employ local school kids to gain valuable work experience. Love that they give back locally.Love everything about this restaurant - keep in mind its takeaway only so don't be fooled thinking you can eat in.
Very good Thai food, just a hole in the wall so don't expect a table, but do expect a good meal. Wait times can be a little long, so phone in your order first
Best takeaway in the Samford area. Food is always fresh and tasty but need to phone ahead on Fridays as it is always busy.
Authentic Thai. Takeaway only but good menu and freshly prepared. I love the madman beef and their spring rolls are the best I've had.
Locals love this tiny takeaway. The fresh tasty family meals salve the consciences of exhausted commuter parents trying to feed the kids after long days working and communting. Except for the queues of these Samford area long distance commuters waiting patiently at the tiny serving window at this tiny kitchen, it would be easy to miss Aluntum Thai Takeaway. Parking and access is a problem at peak commuter times and the delay for food service can be over an hour. Best to pick a time when you feel like eating early on mid week evenings as we have found that Aluntum will take orders before opening time at 5 pm and at this time the food is better. Dieters, vegetarians, and health food freaks fear not as the menu offers lots of options for fresh light food. I do not like chicken but make an exception for Aluntum's juicy satay sticks with crunchy sauce. Servings are generous and not too hot for this chili whimp. One improvement would be appreciateed - though the sauce and veges with the lemon fish are nice the fish is dry, muddy, with a nasty flavour - perhaps Nile Perch. I would be prepared to pay more for a named fresh local fish variety.
