My friends and family regularly visit this cafe and while the coffee is actually really nice, my negative experience is purely down to one member of staff and her attitude. There were four of us to start with and the cafe didn’t seem busy at all. This member of staff wasn’t remotely interested in producing a friendly welcome (usually I’m happy with just a simple hello and at least a smile), but rather a very ‘I’m really not in the mood today’ kind of attitude. Fine. We still went ahead with the order. When the coffees came, the same level of rudeness was still there, and I found myself apologising to a friend of mine from Australia as she picked up on her mood, too. Another three people joined us later, and then when it was time to go I got up and went inside to pay the bill. When she clocked that I wanted to pay with a card she was visibly annoyed and just said ‘well you should’ve told me sooner’. Now, I haven’t lived in Croatia for 12 years so I had no idea what she was talking about. I must’ve looked really confused so I asked what she meant by that. She carried on in her classic rude manner ‘you should’ve told me sooner you were going to pay with a card, it’s the same everywhere in the world!’ What’s the same in everywhere in the world? That I want to pay with a card? No, it’s not. While someone else in my shoes would’ve probably been rude back and kicked off, I calmly explained that in the UK you just go up and pay whichever way you want and nothing is a big deal. She cancelled the bill, issued a new one, I paid with a card and everything was sorted in a few minutes. While all of this was happening, my Australian friend was quietly observing, not understanding the attitude! When I told my family later, they were shocked too, and explained the ‘system’. Shouldn’t she have done that maybe? Perhaps if she had we could’ve avoided the whole drama and both of us could’ve had a nice Sunday morning. They also said that she should’ve asked at the start how we were paying, which she didn’t. I feel like even if I had done something wrong and she made well sure I felt that I did why not simply explain to me? Why was it my fault that she assumed we were paying cash? So what I’d like to know is, what happens when someone actually doesn’t speak Croatian at all? How are they meant to know? I didn’t, and I speak Croatian. Why don’t you have a sign up explaining your ordering and paying system? And most importantly, when are businesses going to start employing people who enjoy at least some aspect of their job, people with adequate training and a basic level of customer service? And not someone who clearly doesn’t want to be there on her precious weekend and is after some quick cash before the summer holidays end. It’s embarrassing. While I wasn’t expecting an apology from someone like that, did she say goodbye to me in the end? Nope.
What's there not to like about any Leggiero bar? Just come down here and enjoy...
Good place to for more bussines people to hang around. Bit expensive over all, but they have an app which allows you to collect points 10kn 1 point). With the points you can buy anything there. 1 points is 1 kn when spending the points. Plenty of food options for a quick snack, from sandwiches, cakes, and general sweets. Freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, protein shakes. Bit expensive if you just want the coffee. If you might want to snack up on other stuff, this is the place.
Everything's good, the staff is generally great, but the place misses a bit of a cozy atmosphere
Clean nice place for a social coffee and snack. friendly staff, comfortable surroundings and good parking.
