Erawan Thai Cuisine - San Andreas

Big little hidden jewel of a Thai restaurant! I ate here on the recommendation of a local and was very satisfied. We're inside, the service was great. Friendly and attentive, I always appreciate that. Offer various dishes and drinks, but was shocked. We went fundamentally with the food, but the chicken satay, yellow curry and pad Thai noodles. Everything was great! Even large portions. We've got a lot of stuff there. Come back!

The 3 is generously rounded up to show support to the family business. The frozen sea food in the Tom yum soup left a foul taste to ever come back. I hope the owner takes some more care to improve the taste of the food possibly by reducing the items on their menus and focus in better ingredients.

Gotten take out from here a few times over the pandemic and again tonight. The kids love the yum woon sen not spicy.

Cockroach in my Pad Thai! Half way through our meal I discovered a Cockroach in my food and my wife had something strange in hers that was not on the ingredients list. We politely and quietly alerted the server who brought out the owner who politely apologize. But instead of offering us a free meal, they tried to give us more food! We obviously had no more appetite after that. They eventually agreed to not charge us for the 2 orders of Pad Thai but no one else finished there meals and we still had to pay for half finished food and drinks.

This is my favorite Thai spot in San Jose/Almaden Valley area. Fresh produce and excellent flavors. Small place with good customer service. See lots of folks ordering take out as well. These photos are of the pad-kee-mao (veggie), Basil fried rice w/prawns, and the duck curry w/ extra veggies added. Higly recommend this location for a solid Thai spot.
