Uva Enoteca - San Andreas

This is our top choice for a date night restaurant in San Francisco. The food is superb and the staff is wonderful.

Food and service were both great. I went with a few friends and we ordered the prefix option and thought it was delicious and well-priced. I also ordered a happy hour glass of wine (we ate early). Good value and high-quality food. It'd be a great date spot!

Last night at the restaurant everything was excellent until today when I checked the balance on a gift card that I used for part of the payment. Our server, Emilio, returned the card to us and said he charged $100 on it. However, when I checked the balance, I discovered he actually charged $120. Despite this, I paid the remaining balance with another credit card and left a generous tip with cash. Unfortunately, this incident marred what had otherwise been a great evening.

This restaurant on Haight Street is a hidden gem. The food was excellent, as was the recommendation for wine. The prices were very reasonable for San Francisco. The atmosphere was on the quieter side with a sort of New York vibe. I would definitely recommend this place.
