Babe's Old Fashioned Food - San Antonio

The menu is on the wall. You order and pay at the counter. Then you find a seat and wait for your name to be called to go pick up your food. Note: they use a pre-tip system here when you pay for your order. So, not sure what I was tipping for. These burgers are huge! I got the mushroom and swiss and added jalapenos. It was good. Had to cut it in half. The onion rings were thinner than I liked and the fries seemed a tad over cooked.

This place is ridiculously good. Amazing, fresh burgers and fries that taste just like they should and you can see being made. Perfectly toasted buns. Nice service. Clean restaurant. The patio is perfect for kids and they loved counting all the busses going by. Highly recommend if you’re wanting a good, classic burger for a fair price. And clean restrooms! All in all a perfect burger joint

Pleasant place to eat. Fries are excellent! Service is pleasant. Food is very good and great variety .

Good food. Dining room was very cold and it seemed that heater was not working. Customers all had coats on. Today my food came out in good time. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! They had not cut lemons yet, so I went without, which was ok. Dining room was clean, and everyone working was doing their jobs as best as possible.

Ordered 2 double cheese burgers, 1 old fashioned burger, onion rings, fries, and fried mushrooms. All tasty. They got that buttery crunch on the edge of the bun. Filling both Hubby and I finished a bit over full. My mom just barely able to finish her old fashion and rings. Great batter one the rings. Fresh, chunky cut fries. Very friendly staff.
