It's sad to see what Bar MA has become, as it started as a rather refined, quiet and well-bartended experience. Now, the drinks are off, the music is loud and the crowd are embarrassing drunks who are better off yelling at an icehouse in Southtown. Last visit saw a bartender who couldn't make a good martini to save his life. Switched to what was once a tried-and-true there (an aviation) and it tasted off as well. Bartender said he was missing an ingredient, but made it anyway. No bueno. Shoulda said something before you (incorrectly) made the drink.
This review is long overdue. My buddy Drew took me to his favorite bar in San Antonio and it was Bar Mon Ami. After my first visit I completely understand why it's his favorite bar. The place is just cool and very welcoming. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. Carlos and Rachel were there that night. Carlos made great drinks for us and he even remembered my name from the week before. This place is a hidden gem in the truest sense. It's hidden away on Broadway street and you will miss it if you don't know what to look for. The people that go there are cool and are willing to engage in good conversation with you. They have plenty of parking available as well. This is my favorite bar now. You definitely need to check it out if you want a fantastic experience with excellent customer service.
Cute bar off Broadway with plenty of parking. It's a bit hidden in the plaza and you could easily miss it. My friend recommended this place and I really enjoyed it! Sometimes there's a lively crowd and other times it's more laid back. It just seems to depend on the day. Really nice drink menu and the bartenders are super accommodating and helpful to recommend drinks you may enjoy.
Located just off Broadway, near the Central Market, this bar is a charming French-style establishment with a dimly lit, intimate ambiance. The impressive drink menu immediately caught our attention. My wife and I chose to sit at the bar, where we were treated to some exceptionally tasty mixed drinks. The prices were quite fair, considering the quality. What really stood out was the bar staff 's remarkable service. We particularly recommend trying 'The Rachel. ' Additionally, their selection of tequila and whiskey is noteworthy and impressive. This bar is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for a cozy, sophisticated drinking experience
